In spite of the seemingly complete annihilation of the human race during the Cleansing, one pregnant woman remains. Exhausted from hiding, lack of food, and the final build of the robots that will care for her child, labor begins. She dedicates the last of her energy to delivery, dying in the process. Moments before death, the Mother boots the machines.

Today is Dora's Birth.
